What clip on tuner do you like?

I’ve got a Snark. Seems to work good, I like the graphic. Pretty sure they started making a rechargeable one.

I haven’t tried any others or looked into whether there’s a superior one.

What clip on tuner do you like? Bonus points if it's rechargeable
I picked up a couple that're USB rechargeable from TaoBao.
Good display, multi-coloured
Different modes for violin guitar ukulele bass.
Selectable between a range (439 and 445 or whatever — I only use 440, even if the youtube vid I'm playing along to is off by a few cents — no time for retuning constantly while practicing).
Comes in Red Blue White Black — I chose white so I can spot my tuner at the bottom of a gig-bag — or who has it as it gets passed around at a jam.
Brand name is AROMA, AT-102, very robust haven't killed mine yet with nearly a decade of use.

The best one I ever had was a generic unit sold under many brand names *(I bought the Ukulele-branded one) but impossible to find now.
That thing would catch the E on my upright no problem. The Aroma doesn't track as well as the Uke tuner, but the Uke tuner didn't have the feature set the Aroma has.
I eventually killed it, the Uke Tuner, and started to use my wife's identical unit, and eventually destroyed that one, too — as robust as they were for a cheap generic tuner. They blew Snarks out of the galaxy.

One word of advice — AVOID SNARK!

I'm a tuner junkie and every Snark I've owned (admittedly only 2) or used (dozens, borrowed at jams or using a bandmate's, tested in shops...) were utter shit. Worthless.
They break, they don't tune well... 🤮 . And yet, other people seem to love them.

If Snark came out with the world's best tuner EVAHRRR, I'd still avoid it like the plague.

Peterson is the one to beat, but I’ll say that the 35 buck Unitune is excellent and the battery lasts a long time in my experience. They go on sale often- I think I paid under 20 bucks for mine.

If only this were rechargeable.

I just scrolled through some rechargeable options and the only one that's USB c is a fuckkng $80 Peterson one?? 😡
The 2320 coin battery that runs it lasts a pretty long time though. I think I have changed mine maybe once a year with regular use.

I wasn't impressed with the Snark. Bought one for my son when he played about 15 years ago and it broke within a few months, and my son is not rough on gear. I don't like clip-on tuners for no discernible reason. Maybe they offend my sense of aesthetics? I don't know but I have never owned one myself. I must be a snob. Who knew you could be a tuner snob?

whichever one I find first ... might be the snark, might be that one I got from reverb way back in the day when they did their little free tuner promo

Polytune clip or whatever it's called. Mine keeps turning off. Whatever. I never use it for anything serious. Khruangbin used to rock it on stage lol

Mine are Petersen, but not the rechargeable ones. I also have a few others around Snark, D'Addario and maybe a Korg.
