Holy crap… Clinton’s posting a build report. Holy crap… it’s not a flanger. Holy crap… it’s not an analog delay either. I know, crazy right!? Well, today I want to show some support and appreciation to someone outside of the usual suspects, @dan.schumaker at Schu-Tone. He supplied me with this pcb. It’s called the Exterminator and it’s essentially an EHX Clone Theory but, with some twists. First off, It’s all squeezed into a 125B enclosure. Second, the volume control is external instead of an internal trim pot. Third, it features relay bypass switching which honestly… is pretty badass in my opinion. I’ve never done a build with that type of switching before and it turns out, I really, really like it. There’s not much else I can really add other than it sounds like an old school EHX Clone Theory. For the artwork, I went with my arch nemesis out here in the Sonoran desert. The stripe tail scorpion. When I think exterminator, I think of the damn scorpions. These evil little bastards live in my backyard and find their way into my house every year. Come spring time and into summer, it’s a good idea to shake out your shoes before you put them on. You never know when a scorpion is just waiting to sting you in the bottom of your foot when you slide your work boots on in the morning. Ask me how I know . Well, that’s all for this report kids. Now, I gotta go make my annual call to Terminix.
