Show Off Your Board!

Love the FX75-B! It was one of my first pedals, still pull it out now and then. Great sounds from that one (for my styles).
YES! It is a bit of a sleeper. Versatile with loads of usable sounds and some really out there sounds. I looked at it last night and thought about a possible rehouse for it.

I'll admit, I've been doing a lot more playing than building these days (shame on me I know). Here are the three boards I've been making noises with lately:
Main Board:

I use this as a "cover all my bases" board, as I can get pretty much all the sounds I want out of it and I have a lot of fun with it. The only homemade pedal I have on this one is the second from the right pedal on the top row, which is the Shallow Water. Tons of fun to build and actually fired up right away, which I was surprised by. The Thermae is the newest addition to the board. I'd been gassing after it for a long time and wound up grabbing one once I saw that they started doing orders for it again. It can do some really cool, pitch shifty chirpy awesomeness but if I'm being honest I'm still having a hard time really dialing it in. When it sounds good it sounds freaking good, but it doesn't really do a normal delay line like I'm used to so it can be tough to get something useable out of it sometimes.

Meat & Potatoes Homemade Board:

I think I posted this one here a while back, but this is my all homemade, meat and potatoes kinda board. From right to left I've got the General Tso compressor, Special K distortion, Circulator phaser, Magnetron delay, and Spirit Box reverb. I also put together the board itself using some wood glue and staining, so that was pretty rewarding once it was all complete.

Weird Noises board:

Finally we've got my "make weird noises and zen out for a bit" board. I found that with the Chase Bliss pedals, I would usually wind up twiddling knobs more than actually playing, so I decided to make a mini-board that was dedicated to doing exactly that. It's sooo easy to just hit few notes, let the Mood and Habit do their thing and then see what else I can make happen with it. I sometimes wonder if it even counts as playing guitar, but ultimately it doesn't really matter if I'm having a lot of fun with it (which I generally am).

Anyways, sorry for the lengthy post but I couldn't help it! My partner can only listen to me talk about the nuances and differences of each board for so long.

I'm actually working on a secondary board for lessons, etc. right now as well! :D

It seems every 6months my daily driver board changes a bit. Here’s the current version which delivers all the sounds I love for daily riffage. I have a second board full of all the oddball stuff that is fun and useful but just not for daily use. And then the boxes of extras…. Damn this addiction damn damn, i just enjoy building things too much.

For the curious: Parentheses mini, Mojito, Pro10 blue side, Total Recall, Vesture, Equilux, Trembling Loon, Sproing.

I love knobs without labels too.
Tuner into a Fuzz Factory (GuitarPCB) with a Mercurial. To the Octron, Quaverato, PT2399 Tap Tempo dirty tape Delay built by someone in Alberta, called Fragmenter Elec.
To the Circulator, CrackleJack x2 with a Sproing, into a BYOC Para EQ, Split by the Radial AB/Y, one side into the EHX loop, and out to a Traynor Darkhorse, the other channel to another Traynor Darkhorse. Powered by a Truetone Pro CS12.
I've rearranged and rebuilt my board a dozen times over the last few years. For the last while, this has been it. And I hope it stays like this. But that damn monkey keeps slipping me hints.

Okay - so we all build pedals... in some cases a lot of pedals... I just updated my home board - though I'm still working on the final load out (as some of the pedals I want on it are still "in progress")... but here it is. What's everyone else running???
