Here's a little bass boost idea that could make a useful building block somewhere. I already have it onboard a couple of basses, where it complements my filter-based preamp, which has no LF control. I used to do this circuit with a pot, but ran into space issues in my G&L L-2000's packed control cavity. Another pot wouldn't have fit, but a 3-way toggle did, and I'm fine with 0/+5/+10dB fixed choices. You can change the ratios of R3/R4/R5, keeping their sum at around 40k, for any 3 preset points within about +/-10dB at 100Hz.
