smallsound/bigsound mini

This is my first attempt at stripboard. Maybe I could have chosen a simpler build but it works! I'm honestly amazed. Sloppy wiring everywhere. I might try to tune the j201s a bit more, I set them at 4.5v on drain

hot damn I just lowered my drain voltages to 4.0v and touched up the bias trimmer a bit, this thing totally rips! sounds just like my old mini

I can't decide if I like this or the Soma 63 for my jfet overdrive, they are pretty different beasts that I both love

I can't believe there's no pcb for this anywhere yet

Great looking build! Stripboard can be a total mess in wiring depending on the layout. To me it just looks like you need to give it a bit more love and shorten some of those wires. But, if you’re happy with the sound it won’t matter how much rat’s nest is in there when you close it up

I built this on Vero too and think it's really versatile. It was one of my early builds so it's a mess inside but hey as long as it works I'm happy.

For a five-knob pedal inside a 125B, that honestly looks fine to me - wires get messy really fast on stripboard builds, and like you said, as long as it's working why worry?
