Reviving this thread to ask if you experimented any further with other finishes? I am curious to see the results if so, if you don't mind.

I’ve pretty well stuck with powder coated Hammond boxes and Gorva enclosures. The powdercoated Tayda boxes get a bit goopy and weird lookin.

Have you considered using something like this? If my office does indeed reopen in January, I will get access to a laser engraver so I am doing some research on the various options available. The acrylic sheets are interesting to me because they can work on any surface and are probably a bit easier to work with than the enclosures.

I’ve got the enclosure process down pretty well now so I don’t see the advantage haha. I’m upgrading my laser in the new year some time so it may be something to try then, I don’t think my diode laser will even mark acrylic but I haven’t tried.
