Son of Ben noisy?

I built the SoB a while ago and didn’t notice at first but I was playing through it today and noticed some amount of white noise coming from it. It’s very noticeable and increases with the treble knob (or the filter cuts it off). Is this normal behavior for this circuit? If not, could it be something I messed up or maybe a bad component somewhere? Any suggestion is appreciated!

I am gonna have to open it up. I have a gut shot in my build report. I don’t think the pictures will help much though, it’s a pretty clean build.

Any new dimmable lights or new appliances? If the effect has had no "adjustment" it sounds like outside interference to me..

Nothing like that. I think the noise has always been there, I just didn’t notice it before. My best bet is either a cold solder or a faulty capacitor. I’m gonna try audio probing to see if I can isolate where it’s coming from.

Any luck with this? By any chance is yours making noise when the pedal itself is grounded but it doesn’t if you have it insulated from the floor? I’ve build two of these and I’m having this problem with both.

Uhm I haven’t tried that but I doubt it? I haven’t had time to post pictures yet unfortunately. I suggest starting your own thread with pics.
