SOLVED Subbing a cap Spirit Box

I am putting together the Spirit Box delay, and I found out I don't have a 1u electrolytic cap called for. My options are a 2.2u electrolytic or a 1u mlcc non-polarized. Any chance of success with either of these? Thanks!

Your choice, either will work.

Most folks would probably lean towards the 2.2uF to avoid using the MLCC, I would use the MLCC just to spite them.

I would go 1u MLCC also, I’ve found that sometimes E-caps can let a little DC voltage leak through. If this happens at this point in the circuit, then a little dc voltage builds up on the output and causes a pop when switching.

Film works too, as mentioned. I haven’t had any issues I’ve noticed myself with 1u MLCC in the signal path, and Robert uses them in the fv-1 boards so he’s not opposed
