SWITCH-CRAFT (got any creative uses of switches?)

Came across this one while figuring out the possibilities of these for my amp. Might as well put it in PPCBs magic switch chest!

Too bad they're so expensive.

I'll need to find a couple just to have on hand... ooh the possibilities!

DPDT Transistor-Swapper
In this case both emitters are going to ground so they don't need to be swapped out, just the Bases and Collectors.




If you've got a circuit that the emitter doesn't go to ground you can still swap out two transistors: add a pole to the switch,
ie make it a 3PDT ON-ON and add the emitters to the switcherooniki.

Plenty of examples online of switching out two transistors, this is mine.


BTW, that's not gibberish in the diagram, that's top-secret code.
(see if you can decipher what it says!)

Well this is going to pale in comparison to the arcane sorcery that precedes it, but maybe some folks haven't seen this trick. It's straightforward true-bypass wiring that I like to use it on perf and vero builds because it saves me the trouble of worrying about where to stick the status LED's CLR. 1/8-watt, of course.
