Tayda UV prints peeling off!?!?

Good evening ladies & gentlemen
I just received a sample batch of front plates UV printed and after just few hours I removed them from their protective bags I noticed that the print is already peeling off!!!???
I already wrote to Hugo to find out if this is just because these are "samples"....so maybe they skipped part of the printing process
From my experience, I know that normally UV prints on aluminium are anodized together with the plate like a sandwich sort of...so no scratch or chemicals can damage the print.....I don't think this is the case..at least not on these samples
still waiting for a reply...in the while I would be curious to know if someone is experiencing the same with their printed enclosure from Tayda...??
Anyone??

I’ve had that issue on some of my uv prints from tayda. Luckily it was always just on drill mark crosshairs so it didn’t matter, but it does make me a bit leery

It looks like the sample there is just raw aluminum, is that correct? There is no chemical bonding process with UV printing like there is with anodization, so if the ink doesn't have something to adhere to as it cures, it comes off easily and flaking/peeling is common. This is why Tayda doesn't recommend printing on raw enclosures and instead recommend printing on powdercoated finishes, so the ink can bond with the polymer in the powdercoat. I've seen a few people mention flaking on some finishes, but of the literal hundreds of printed enclosures I've purchased from Tayda, I've never had issues.

So ...it's not exactly the usual UV print....I had many UV printed plates made in the past and they are all on raw aluminium
To scratch them you really need to operate internationally with a grinder
Sure they don't look fancy like the Tayda UV prints but at least no peeling

There are additives you can mix with the inks to make the ink bond with raw aluminum, and I know some shops that do a lot of printing will do this, but Tayda doesn't seem to offer it.

I see....well for now still waiting the reply from Hugo....
I'm pretty sure we gonna find a solution
It's all about communication
I really like the way their prints are looking....just a bit sad that the print doesn't stay....
For now I can probably just spray some transparent protective layer and see if I can save the rest of the plates

Peeling occurred for me on a couple enclosures. I have a thread about it somewhere. They refunded me.
Hugo sent me these plates for free as a sample....I can consider myself already quite lucky....
But I would like to understand if is possible to have them printed properly, even paying more than the usual...
I'm a client at Tayda for more than 10 years now....pretty sure that if they cannot do it Hugo will find someone that eventually has the equipment in Bangkok....finger crossed
