The anti-GAS thread

blugh...

Those mini jobbos from behringer are paraphonic. Not great for poly experience. JN-80 seems too much, and is preorder right now. Monopoly seems like a decent compromise, though it's an odd duck. Hmm. Pro-800? Though the selfish part of me wants the SH-5 clone…polyphony be damned.

Hmm. Pro-800?
I think it’s probably the most bang for buck of their polys. And it will easily get you into John Carpenter vintage horror/sci-fi soundtrack territory, if that’s at all your jam.

I had a real Prophet 600 for many years that I was kind of nostalgic for. So I found it impossible to resist this one 😖

It’s been out long enough now that there should be plenty of used ones for sale.

O man those gasprices. 2,32 Euro for a liter Euro95. That will stop you.
Yeah. $5.40/gal diesel here. Thankfully I don't have to commute anymore, but still. I filled up when it was still $3.50

Should've bought my next oil change at the same time, though 😭 liquimoly toptec 4000 isn't cheap here anyway with tariffs.

I celebrated my 70th birthday and began my eighth decade on this glorious planet on 03/20/26

It gave me really bad G.A.S.

$13k-ish.

I go to a guitar lesson once a week- it’s been fun learning jazz on guitar. Anyway, to tie it to this thread, I walk through a guitar shop to get to the lesson room. A lot of times when I get back home I mention “hey, I didn’t buy a guitar today!”

I just now realized the true purpose of a double case… that’s how you sneak in the new ones!

But for real the wifey is super cool- just yesterday she was looking at swatches with me for my custom build.
