Packed it full of stuff I have too much of and off to @jessenator, hopefully tomorrow. This box is beginning to show some wear.
AbsolutelyI think they could double as Taco holders!
yup... assorted screw driver or random long tool holders... The black one holds pliers... solder pump tweezers and a screw driver.
It helps to do a little sleuthing in the forums. It looked like you are a bass player (I hope!!!) so I thought the Meatbox clone would be a fun project. The M51134p chip and the 10uf Tantalum is for that project. I was sitting on the Low Baller project but it's another bass pedal so in it went. The .47 tantalum is for that project. The Hot Tubes clone is a classic overdrive that plays nicely with bass and guitar. I love it on bass with the clean signal blended in. The headers, ribbons and diodes are all something I have a bunch of and might not be the thing other people stock so I thought it would be nice to included.Got a nice little surprise when I got home from work on Friday when the Mystery PIF box arrived from @Route14. There are some really nice goodies in this box. The first thing I checked out were the ICs - a TI CD4049UBE and a Mitsubishi M51134P synthesizer chip. There were also some 1N4002 and 1N4003 diodes, which didn't excite me at first until I checked by inventory and realized that I have all of the 1N400X diodes except for the 4002 and 4003, so those are a nice add. There were also a couple of tantalums, some pin headers, a couple of ribbon cables, and a rotary switch. The box also contained a few really interesting pcbs:
- Lowballer Twin Envelope Filter
- M800 Overdrive
- Aion EHX Hot Tubes (I've been wanting to build an Aion project)
- Soy Sauce Subharmonizer (which I'm pretty excited about)
But the thing that got me the most stoaked was the MBP Wavelord. I'm building one of these for our lead guitarist, but after reading the reviews and build reports on this one, I was totally bummed that I promised to give this one away and there aren't anymore to be had at MBP. Finding the Wavelord in this box made my whole week. Thank you so much @Route14!!!

I've been going through my stash and pulling together a little assortment that I'm going to be getting in the mail to @xefned this week.
Yeah, I could tell you put some thought into it, and I figured you had probably seen a few of my posts. Thanks again! It helps to do a little sleuthing in the forums. But I did come across your thread about the Wavelord. I had 2 (still building one of them) and I knew I had to send you the other. It was the right thing to do and I'm totally psyched it made your week. I'm sure @bean will restock them and I can get another backup, but for now it needed to go to you. The rotary and momentary switch are obviously for that project as well.
I got the Mystery PIF box all packaged up tonight. If I get time I'll drop it in the mail either tomorrow or Tuesday. You're the last one on that thread, so I'm guessing that you'll PIF it back to @bean who started the thread. I'm hoping that you'll find something fun and useful in the box I put together for you.
Holy lord, Chris went all out.

That was the most fun I've had opening a box. Honestly, felt like the Christmas I never had.
Thank you brother. As the Jessenator said earlier in this thread, “I have some big shoeboxes to fill.”
Oh, PS, the adult novel wasn't really in the box.

Just to be clear -- I didn't add the porn! Must have already been on @xefned's workbench...Jesus Christ, way to make us all look bad. I didn't throw in any porn at all.
Yeah me too...Killer stuff! I think I speak for everyone when I say we expect a full book report on "Sky Jinks".
