On the left is old military surplus that I found at a salvage store. It's not particularly big, but it has a real mid-century vibe.
On the right is a modern HiFi knob that just looks ridiculous on a 1590A.

Actually, those knobs are crafted from a large paleontological find, a huge stash of pterodactyl-fledglings caught in lava flow after an extensive colony on the side of a mountain were covered by a volcanic eruption. While there isn't an endless supply of that particular knob, there were enough remains discovered to keep up with any demand for such a knob in this lifetime.
Love the Water-Tap ... thought of doing that.
I've got a giant 1510-style knob rescued from a barbeque that was being junked. I'll try to get a pic of that up.

I came across a company called Twist Tone on Instagram via World Famous Repairland. They do guitar and synth knobs but it sounds like pedal knobs are next on the agenda.
Personally I really like the gradient ones, the others get a little eccentric but still unique.

That's no 1590A pedal in the pic, that's a 1590N1. If I ditch the bezel, it will fit, but with bezel I need at least a 1590B3 or 1590BB or bigger.
I had a plan for the knob in one of last year's build-contests, but I had to keep my perfect record going...
