I was pleased to find that there was no overspray on the inside with this chassis. This time I did not need to scrape any paint. Two little holes are for the eyes.
Yeah, forget about R2 & C16. I should redraw the schematic with those gone. They're not needed unless you are using the LM386 to drive a speaker. It's a damper (high freq load) for the '386 to ensure it doesn't oscillate when driving a reactive load. Very common in solid-state power amplifiers. In my original build, I wasn't sure if they were needed or not. After some testing, I can assure you that they are not needed in this circuit.
