To BB or Not to BB - Actually more which BB???

So I'm trying to decide which Xotic BB clone to build, and I've got three options, but I'm trying to decide between the AionFX Perenadra Deluxe version (which gives you a 1.5, Andy Timmons, and a "no compression" mode) and the XB-MB Preamp - which looks a bit more basic because it doesn't have the different modes. Thoughts? Which version of the BB is the XB-MB cloining?

I’m basin this on @MichaelW ‘s build report for the XB-MB, listed below. It’s got the single pair of diodes for clipping that the AT mod does. There’s some more good info in that report.

I'm not such a big fan of the BB-MB, simply because the "mid-boost" is just reinstating the TS808 tone control they left out in the first place. It's no mid boost.

I prefer a punchier, less compressed sound so have always built a BB with two pairs of clipping diodes rather than the TS-style single pair. Using four diodes (two pairs in series) just sounds more natural to me.
