Another build for a friend. I've made the Aion version a couple of times but went with the PedalPCB version this time.

I spent some time going through my box of Soviet Bloc transistors and testing them to find some in right ballpark, and the reward for that is that it sounds like it's supposed to sound. I'll test it further tomorrow when I can be a bit louder but I might not need to do anything to the bias trimmer I installed. I set that to 8.2K before installing it, and again: doing the prep work pays off.

I'll trim the legs on those transistors, and maybe solder a leg into the socket on each of them. But I know you all love your robot porn so here's a gutshot with plenty of naked electronics.

Solid sticker from AliExpress, trimmed to size. That's what I do with most pedals, as I suck at paint/pens. Plus it's way less messy. I mean, I could figure out the Tayda printing thing but this is cheaper and it's become my signature look.
I might look into that for a future project! Thanks for sharing! Have you tried no film water decals? Only problem you’re limited to your laser printer color which is usually only black.

I don't have a printer. Don't really need one, I'm happy doing the sticker thing. I can make labels if I feel the need, but I usually don't bother.

I need to get a colored laser printer! this is awesome my printer only does black that’s you’ve seen almost all my designs done in black.
It's pretty limited to white or light colored enclosures like the ball silver in my picture above. That's why the UV printing stuff has to have a white fill layer behind the design

Ahhh this makes sense. I need to try my had at a UV printed enclosure....Ive also been looking at silk screening. Everyone says its a little more work but the end result is amazing to me.

I don't like burning screens, or anything about screen printing. I used to make tshirts but never tried screen printing pedal enclosures. Lots of people do it though

What about it you don’t like?
I think there are other ways to do it but the way that I know to make screens is with a photoreactive chemical and you have to burn it under a light and it's pretty inexact. You'd have to do that for every pedal design or each color layer of a pedal design so if you want more than one color then you need separate screens for that. The people who do it professionally have special jigs that keep everything aligned so that you can get your layers down and oriented properly and that's a lot of equipment to have just to DIY some stuff.

It's a lot of mucking around with chemicals and inks and screens and equipment just to make something.

Also sorry to @DAJE for blowing up your thread
