Trimpot to pot adaptor pcb

Let's say I want to build a tube screamer to run as a boost. I already know I'm never going to change the setting from 0 gain, full volume and maybe I'll tinker with the tone once...im after an adaptor I could buy to mount a trimpot to, to set values and then forget them, and not drill the enclosure for pots at all.

Couldn't you use this? Mount the trimpot to it, then use resistor leads (or similar short wire or leads) to mount it to ther PCB where the pots ould normally go? (Or, if you're not using a PPCB board with board mounted pots, mount the trimpots elsewhere inside the enclosure.)
