Using a Unicab for recording with a DAW

Greetings! I plan to use a unicab -> focusrite -> DAW to do some recordings. I would like to record a tyrian distortion. Do I go direct tyrian to unicab or is best to use an amp sim in between like the EMU or maybe a PAL 800 before the unicab?

Going from the Tyrian is a preamp and works well in a power amp so straight into the unicab should be be fine.
