V9 "NYC REISSUE" BIG MUFF

hi i am new here .
I am trying to built a Big Muff from https://www.bigmuffpage.com/ the version 9
but i am bit confuse of what type the 1uF capacitors are in the description below is saying that are non polarized electrolytics
but in the photo if i am not mistaken i can see 8 electrolytic capacitors (and on schematic is not showing any )
can anybody make it more clear for me

Yes. You can replace them with film caps too. You have to be careful of the orientation of polarized ones, though. It's just more idiot proof to use film or bipolar. Film bigger than 220n will make little to no audible difference and guaranteed not to smoke(barring other non-achievements) unless your playing 808s or 5+ string bass.

I go with film whenever the cap is in the audio-path, wherever possible.

Biggest Film-Box I've found/have are 2µ2; though Wima does have 4µ7 film, I've yet to order any (high on my priority-list).

i not sure if C6 and C7 on my schematic should have this polarity

the thing is that the on my schematic the caps is placed before the diodes and the diodes are flipped so i am not sure what to do

It makes no difference in this case, the polarity is the same.

Positive towards the Collector, Negative towards the Base. (Opposite of your drawing)
