Thank you, @Robert for making this available to us. I frequently talk about my Frantone fandom around here so I was on board for this build immediately. Build out was smooth and easy though I needed some aid when the speed range seemed way off. @DGWVI set me straight telling me to pull pin 6 of the 8038 out of the socket. Seems like we've all been hitting you up this week . I biased by ear and I think I got it but I'm going to take it to buddy of mine who has an oscilloscope to be sure.
I don't know how to describe it or why I feel this way but this trem is "sweet." Maybe it's imparting a slight toan adjustment, maybe it's the shape of the sine wave, maybe it's rose colored glasses but.... ummmm blah blah blah mojo?
I've always kept a tremolo on my board though honestly I don't use the effect all that much as a bassist. It's usually in moments of improv/fuzzed out experimentation and I tend to use a hard chopping square wave 95% of the time. This thing covers my tremolo needs quite well. A sweet simplifier compared to the madbean wavelord I've been using until now, though I may miss the tap tempo.
I bought the green Davies knobs that were on the original but they clashed pretty hard with the "alligator slime." I actually had a hard time finding a knob I liked on this enclosure. I got mildly frustrated trying to keep the led centered in the jewel so it got the hot goop gun.
