Violet muff

Here’s my take on the Violet Muff. Socketed the parts as I might want to change some out but so far sounds better than my original big Muff and takes up half the space!
Etched enclosure and carbon resistors. Just because I could!

Wow you went all in on the mojo parts? You know, I just realized that I don't have a Big Muff in my fuzz collection. I think I've built just about every other classic variant but that. Hmmmmmm......he sez......did I miss the coupon?

It's perhaps not the best way to say it, but that's a clean ass muff you got there.

It's like... the 4th circuit I built and I own a green sovtek. 🤯

It can be, but it also can be like having 3-4 different pedals depending on mood.

It’s like all the mods you have done to other pedals baked in from default!

What keeps me from building one is the fact that my drill only makes round holes. I don’t know how people are drilling the holes for the dip switches…

The build doc has a template to cut out the dip switches. You'll need to make somewhere around 40 holes and then punch it out. THe faceplate covers up the edges and is worth the extra few bucks.

This. A crap tone of holes and some elbow grease. I’m sure it’s easier to get Tayda to drill it for you but the faceplate is pretty nifty.

Even if it weren't for hiding the wrecktangulahrs, I'd still be all over this particular faceplate — It's clean and simple with no extraneous labelling or graphics... so it'll still look like your pedal, as opposed to someone else's... Kind of like how somebody else's Kustom Led Sled might look great but if you bought it you'd still have to make a few dozen changes to it to make it yours. This is why Kustoms are so hard to sell compared to a stock vintage car.

Ugh that one looks like Option Overload, I'd just stare at it hahahah

But that's exactly the point. Option overload can be just what you need. As a bmp fanboy I can say it's not a bad choice if you're only going to have one muff and not likely to gig it, why not have a ridiculous studio toy?
