What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Here’s what someone did to tame that bright switch a bit:

This is extremely useful thank you. After rewiring the switch back as it was it really doesn’t do much. I now suspect someone intentionally took it out. That info gives me some info for doing some experimenting to get it how I’d like it.

Im fairly smitten with chorus and vibrato in here. Wish the reverb was a little more but overall it’s a fantastic sounding amp.

Nice amp! I’m still on the look out for a 50. Have seen a 55 locally so might give that a try.
Love the 120 sound but don’t need the noise or the weight!!!
So far so good for me. I love been wanting a Roland for awhile just from what I’ve read but never had the opportunity. This came up and the price was right. Eager to try the chorus vibe out to another amp, will have to wait for tomorrow though.

Speaking of finding non-functional pedals on Reverb, I did pick this up for $40. It was only made in 2008b but the 30ga-looking wiring inside was all broken, and the enclosure is in great shape minus one small area that I’ll try to repair. I’m going to rewire this, replace the footswitch, and add a power jack to it. I think I’ll also build a small board with polarity and power protection for it if I don’t just do it inline.

I had one from 99 til a few months back. Was the original owner. Ended up selling it because it was never on my board as after having a muff with a mids switch just can’t live without it.

Well interesting. After downloading the service manual I wonder if he had an earlier one or someone modded it.

Today I tried UV-curing soldering mask for the first time. I had limited success (enough for the board to work, I think). I'll report again during the week
Once you manage to find the right "settings" it's easy. From my experience - different colors require different exposure times. With my UV lamp differences are small, like 10 to 20 seconds.

Wow, great find! I'm a little jealous, the black Russian Big Muff was my first pedal ever. I ended up selling it to pay for my first pedal builds (2 kits from AionFX).
How do you find nice deals on non-functional pedals on Reverb? Is it possible to set up an alert for that? :D

Just lucky with that one. I think I found it right as it was listed and snagged it.

I'm waiting for a custom neck I ordered from what I thought was a reputable site online. I was quoted 6 weeks and haven't paid yet. It's been nearly 8 weeks with no word. I emailed a week ago and received no response. At what point is too long and I need to go elsewhere?

That’s weird they would build something and not at least take a deposit, there is no commitment on ether end I would personally move on to someone or company with more motivation.

Agree it was strange that I haven't committed any money yet. I'm afraid I'll order from somewhere else and I'll get that email to pay

There was no happier day in my life than when I financially graduated from buying and maintaining household appliances acquired from CL exactly because of this ... I'm no appliance tech by trade so every time I worked on them I always went too far and did too much to get the desired result because I'm drunk on self confidence and unencumbered by experience.
