What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Got the new Wilde/Lawrence stacked 'bucker installed in the middle position on my Heritage H204DD:

It suits this guitar much better than the JB Jr. I had in there, and inspired me to finally re-cut one nut slot that always bugged me when playing unplugged. When I bought this guitar in pieces it had active EMGs in it, which were fun until they weren't. It's a definite mongrel with the Dimarzio/Wilde/Duncan lineup, but everything plays really nicely together now and it's like having a new guitar. This model seems to have collector value these days, finally, but to me it'll always just be a rehabbed player.

I can't recommend it enough. Its like the best version ever of a JM. So big, bold and articulate but still sounds like a Jazzmaster. Here's some more porn for you.
Are those the fender CuNiFes or Novaks?
A Bari JM is one of my goals for the near future and the wide range were kinda where I was leaning. I want the JM sound but also some more modern tones baked in. From twang to chug.

I was so close! The Musikding sent me the wrong pots for the Bass dude in my last order. What a disappointment it was yesterday.
On the other hand, I tried the King Nothing at the rehearsal and man, it sounds nice! I need to understand a bit more about how the JFET stage is biased and maybe pick a different one. It has more gain than I need. It can be more aggressive sounding but on the lower settings, it sings and even cleans up nicely. I have it wired without a footswitch now so I played it "ON" for a whole rehearsal and used the old-school guitar volume for a clean(er) sound. It speaks for itself I guess.

They are from Revel. They don't use cunife, like the original Novak wrhb they use a mix of alnico and some other material. They sound amazing.

It’s a pretty cool little instrument.
Okay, one more try, then I’ll leave it alone:

I know you said you don’t have time to mess around, but I do think it would be cooler to make a new tail piece instead of slapping something new on there. Especially now that I know you know how solid rivets work.

I looked at it again, and most of it would be drilling seven holes, then sawing out the openings.

By the time you’re done searching the internet, then getting something close and making it fit, you might have almost as much time in!

Super cool instrument, and a cool story either way, I’m just always excited to see some metal fab.

It would be fun to fab but the time it would take would be a looot more than pulling the trigger on this.
