I've always wondered why I see so many members here using Tantalum capacitors? Are they better?
Size (sometimes), stability (vs electrolytic), TOAN!(?). @Chuck D. Bones is the champion of the tant and I believe has his reasons listed in one of the boneyard articles (sorry, to lazy to look for the link).

There is no clean setting unless you turn down your guitar. I feel like the volume is the OD sound and the gain turns it into distortion. I bet I spent an hour trying to figure out why there was no clean sound. I watched a few videos and realized I did t realize there was no clean sound d to be had.

Size and stability for me. But, I've also been fortunate to luck out when shopping online surplus stores and have been able to snag them for less than the aluminum electrolytics
Also, they just look cool

I went full rackmount!
4kW of PV, 20kWh of LiFePo4 storage and 13 kW of inverting power.
I feel like building pedals over the past year gave me most of the confidence to be able to troubleshoot and commission this system into our house.

Yep, only use them when polarized caps are called for. And, I have MLCCs up to I think 22u, if I do need a huge film cap anywhere

Was planning on building two at the same time, but I’m out of 1n8 caps and don’t have a close value on hand to sub with either.

Unicab, and of course I only ordered 2 470nf caps instead of 3! Oh well. 330+150 is close enough
