I've studied the Hammond catalogue closely, as I tend to cram more than I should into any given space.
I've copied the sizes of Hammonds that interest me into a table in my own separate doc, so I don't have to skim through the sizes that generally don't meet my needs, such as the 1590C or the 1590J (and there are basically only 2-3 1550 series that I consider usable for pedals).
My document continually needs updating...
It was a long time before I noticed my OLD PDFs have at the top of the depth column: "Height (Less Lid)"
According to my old 1590-series PDF I have, the N1's depth is 35mm — less lid.
EVEN SO, I've found discrepencies with the old Hammond catalogues to the newer catalogues (all from downloaded online-PDFs), which then differ slightly from the datasheets...
The latest online/PDF tables include the lid height — yay. finally.
Despite Hammond having corrected some typos, formatting issues, standardising... I've seen some enclosures described as having 119mm width in one document, while another says 120mm — There are still sometimes discrepancies between Hammond's different sources of info.

Here’s what’s been on my workbench recently…
Deck is finally stained, Sasha testing her spot (front porch done as well):
Trying to stay on top of Mom’s yard-work… the supervisor is a bitch (NOT my MOM!):
Haven’t updated here much lately about my friend’s Kustom truck, it’s pretty much done…
Nobody notices my 18’3” blue-boat with a retina-seering orange Kustom beside it.
I’ve managed to squeeze in some pedal-related stuff …
Mockups & drilling an extra hole for a mod…
Since the mockup, I spent the better part of a day sanding down and polishing that enclosure — and it’s only a temp until I get a 1590Q for the PCB!
Also in the works…
My first truly-commissioned build, a friend’s surprise gift for his friend whom I’ve not met. From everything I’ve been told, I’ve selected a Bosstone heavily modded but with its control-set stripped down… “modded” my Auditorium to act like my Protoboard Micro (which is in use; all my breadboards are busy right now).
Same friend wants me to fix an old micro-amplifier of his and turn it into a pedal the plastic mini-amp case was smashed beyond repair):
It uses an LA4140 8L8, which I’ve never tinkered with before. Friend wants it either as a pedal, as mentioned, or to drive a small reverb tank salvaged from the amp.
Also been picking a LOT of apples between our tree and Mom’s crabapple tree…
No apple pics, too busy picking ‘em… busier picking those than Albert Lee picking a Tele…

this could go either way
So away in another thread I was asking about "how to change a VREF power supply to bipolar...."
and the esteemed @Chuck D. Bones response was "well of course you'll be breadboarding this right?"
er not having a big breadboard or lots of components sitting around... erm, lets skip that and go straight to PCBA (it doesn't cost much does it)*
And I kinda mashed together the last two pedals I made, a skeptical buffer and a frequency interchange ....
so a buffer with 3 position variable input impedance, the bass switch on the skeptical and then a switch to switch the HPF and LPF in and out...
And IT WORKS! First time!
I think I didn't take the slope of the enclosure walls into account, so it doesn't fit in the little Gorva M45 I had spare.... but it worked.
Now - since I tried them I've changed my pedal board around significantly - and there's an always on compressor fairly close to the start of the chain - so does it sound better than not using it?
* I'm in the UK so no trump tarriff putting prices up

Didn’t except crowning to take as much time and force. Call it beginners luck, but this one plays so much better now.

Not bad. Think I might alter it to not have the channels capped.
Probably not going to use solid core in the final application, either.

Just finished building this keyboard rack.
I found a UK company that makes cool racks and attempted to copy one of their designs since I already had a pile of aluminum.

I know you’re a tall cat, but as long as you’re not NBA tall you’d clear the ceiling fine. It’s the steam pipes that would get you once you let your guard down. There’s one right by that workbench that I just clear at 5’11”. That one has left eggs on the foreheads of some of my tall friends.

Almost ready to do a test laser cut/engrave for this faceplate. The Super Heterodyne Receiver was one of the first PPCB pedals I built and I have been wanting to make this faceplate forever. I finally spent enough time on this that it's getting somewhere. Pretty crowded UI.

My solution to that problem is to just not build anything with 8 position switches.

TO-5 sized rotary, gold contacts, 10k life cycle

I don’t mind the big rotary, it’s been tricky to fit all the labels for all the controls on the faceplate, that’s the pain!
