What's for Dinner?

Had a dinner date with my lovely wife. Indian food from a local joint. Lamb Seekh Kebabs with basmati rice and dal makhani, paneer chilli (a Nepalese/Mongolian/Indian fusion dish), Bhindi masala, and peshwari naan. Yum. Funny though, we get the medium spice level and good thing too, the kebabs came out sizzling and the spice was airborne. Made everyone in the restaurant cough

My wife and I are huge BattleBots nerds. During BB season we always make gringo tacos on Friday night and watch BattleBots.

It's one of my favorite things to do, honestly. Ground beef tacos with off-brand "taco seasoning", cheese and lettuce with Old El Paso shells have got that nostalgia kick and BattleBots is just the best thing on television. Though I use Impossible meat since my wife is vegetarian.

Anyways, BattleBots rules and you should watch it.

Wife had to close at work tonight me and the boys had some left over prego from Wednesday that was spiced up with some Italian sausage and bell pepper. I just had to make more noodles. It’s treat night though so the real excitement was the tillamook mudslide ice cream with whip cream and a cherry on top. The boys were in heaven. The two year old had chocolate matted hair and promptly needed a bath lol.

I'm a popcorn freak, I like to try things but plain ol' butter&salt remains my favourite. I'll have to try yeasty popcorn!

Supper was ...
Home-made mushroom soup, with home-made sourdough bagels — half with cream-cheese, the other half double-smoked chedder ...
That was a while ago. I could really slay a burrito or some brisket... maybe a pizza-pocket (had pepperoni pizza for lunch, but pizza is ALWAYS a good option)... Hmmm Red Swan's Paneer Pizza is vegetarian and DeeLISH... Damn.

Y'all are making me hungry again.

Stopped at an amazing German market and deli on the opposite side of town called Edelweiss. Needed some butter so I popped in and bought $40 with of awesome. A polish with rotkohl, side of German potato salad, and a cold cut called lyoner that I became obsessed with when I was over there. It's basically fancy bologna w pistachios. Ritter cornflake to share with the kids later. Not pictured, the africola I drank while stuck in traffic. If only they carried Rothaus Pils, I'd shop there weekly. Screenshot_20230317_114236.jpg
