*Must use pop filter even on non mouth instruments*
Actually, I think the ribbons in these are a little thicker than classic ribbons. But still... Too much moving air=bad news for ribbons. Take care of it. We used to put pop filters on the RCAs for room mics and drape a velvet bag over them and the coles before carrying them back to their cases.
Interesting rebrand from cascade fathead to pinnacle fat top.

When I was reading up on them I learned that the original owner died and that a family member of his and another Cascade employee took it over and just changed the branding. Everything is the same otherwise.

That's what I read online, at least.

Section matching looks really good, looking forward to getting a couple of new onboard preamps in basses next week. First one will be Bass/Mids for neck pickup and resonant LPF for the bridge. Mixed to mono output in bass, but it has a 4 pin XLR and I could break it out to individual outputs quite easily if I feel like it.

Shit, are they that fragile? I’m a bit of a klutz and am sure to fumble the pass from ebow to picking at some point
I broke two of them when I had just started playing guitar. They both stopped working after short falls... but that was also 25 years ago. Maybe they are better now haha

That’s one of my favorite parts about it! It’s like using feedback. Wild and hard to tame, but when you figure it out, it opens up a whole world of cool extended techniques.
Def going to take some practice switching strings without the clicking/plinking of plastic against the strings. Friggin cool though. Tried it on bass, fretted and fretless and was loving it. Really though, it just makes the fretless sound like an arco bass, but run it through some modulation🤯
