Got some serious vintage goodness from @bluedmc777 in the mailbox today! Woot!

Don has sent me a few vintage preamp tubes over the last couple years, and every one of them has been killer sounding!

Can't wait to give these babies a run once I figure out what they're going to go into. Thanks Don!

I always forget to take pics of parts when they come in but did have these goodies.

This is a first for me. A Toshiba 12AX7A with similar construction to the old La’ RadioTechnique, see my avatar, 12AX7-S or even Tesla/JJ. Referring to the metal frame connecting the top mica spacers together with halo being above that. Sound wise they sound like your typical Toshiba, very neutral almost hi-fi, except more bass.





Second is a Sylvania branded RFT gray plate EF86/6267 for when I want that quick EF86 gray plate break up.

Decided to give the slow boat option a try again for one circuit (5 boards). I had 5$ in credit so grand total was 15c.

Placed order 11 days ago and received it usps today with no tariffs? Maybe I’ll get a bill?

Nah, slow boat is the best option. Only a couple days more than DHL and it's an all in landed cost.

This. Slow boat with boards is typically the best option for us normies.

Anymore the biggest delay has just been production time. Used to be really quick, but last time even my 2 layer boards took over four days. It is what it is.

12AT7s need love too! These JAN GE and JAN Sylvania are perfect for v3 in Deluxe Reverbs. That slot is picky for some reason. I’ve tried new nos Mullard CV4024’s in that location that just would not work amongst other. The later black plated gold brand Philips ECG Sylvanias are wonderful in that slot as well. None of the American made will cost you much.
