What's in the mailbox? šŸ“¬ šŸ“¦

Heads, cymbal stands, the hi-hat stand in particular, and the cymbals themselves..
What a glorious beating.

*I will say though, for a guy who loved to boast about practicing guitar for 8-hours a day, that particular WHAMMY solo by Tom M' was an absolute poop-snooze.
I imagine that woodshedding was mostly under the influence

Slightly cool, shady place on hot day; provides protection from the rain? It’s a moderately deep mailbox— the back 3-4ā€ are never occupied, so it’s prime spider mating grounds I guess? When I was younger there was a massive albino Asian Giant Hornet that used to somehow work it’s way into the mailbox on sunny spring days, and on random days when I’d get home from school, I’d open the mailbox and grab the mail, and this angry f***er would chase me to the house and then stick around the door for around an hour in case I came back out, so he could terrorize me some more. I’ll gladly take gross spider babies over Henry the Hornet.

Or maybe someone in the postal service just really hates my family and has a special interest in bugs. I guess it’s possible šŸ˜‚
When my wife and I were in Belgium we toured the Canteleon brewery. It was self guided with a little pamphlet.

One section talked about how they cant use any pesticides because of the open vats they use to allow for natural fermentation and instead relied on spiders to keep bugs out.

We looked up and the entire ceiling was covered in cobwebs. They were in every nook and cranny in that place. My wife nearly had a panic attack and ran out of there so fast she left a track of flames behind her 🤣

Ever since then I've gained a new respect for spiders. If they are responsible for one of the most delicious brews on the planet then they're okay in my book.

That’s interesting. I wonder how much the fallen spiders that ferment into it contribute to the flavor.

Never noticed your Humand Hands lyrics in your sig. Nice!

That's where the extra protein comes from.

Imperial Bedroom is my favorite album of all time, and Human Hands is a contender for my favorite song on that album (along with Man Out of Time and Beyond Belief).

My daughter will be 3 at the end of September and Human Hands was one of the songs I used to sing her to sleep with since she was born. One night a few months ago I noticed her humming it, so the next day I told her it was called Human Hands and played the song for her. Now she wants me to play it all the time and she's got most of the lyrics memorized. I used to have a few songs I would sing to her but ever since she discovered the real version of the song she always asks me to sing that now.

We were at the park a couple of weeks ago and the parent of another kid asked my daughter what her favorite song was and she answered "Human Hands by Elvis Costello" and the lady stood there puzzled and it was probably the proudest I've been of her so far

One of my first paintings was that kid peeing, painted on a byoc phaser.
Yep! @PedalPCB sent me some with a note saying along the lines of "for my butt slut" or maybe it was "more up your alley".
He'd probably do a video, no?
That video is on my onlyfans page, got make money somehow.
This, even artists I'm not into can have a good song, and I can recognize and appreciate it. I'm cool with people liking whatever they are into but don't force it on me, no means no damn it, I won't cave to peer pressure lol. Also this is the song from supernatural that slaps the most.
I play this on ever acoustic I touch just to see if anyone recognizes.

Three seems old enough for a first concert. How about you take her to see Costello with Nick Lowe as the opening act!

DM me your addresses and I'll snail mail some for each of ya along with any decent goodies I can mail in a stamped envelope. Goes for anyone - 250 seems like a reasonable amount of stickers to order for $20 on a 30 second design until you have piles of them laying around everywhere
Thanks for the offer mate! I’ll be returning the favor when I settle on some designs of my own (that’s code for actually taking the time to draw the designs I’ve sketched up, and then vectorize and clean them up. I’m just indecisive and a stubborn artist)

In my mailbox today: I had zero need for yet another guitar strap, but I spotted this on AliExpress and there was a sale and I had a coupon so here we are. Even at regular prices it's a bargain. Quality is great and the leather bits are actual dead animal hide.

LINKAGE - I've bought a few items from that seller, all good stuff, no issues.

I got burned on the last 2 straps I ordered from Ali and it looks like this is the seller I should have been looking for!

Well well well… it looks like I should have TWO things in the mailbox today that aren’t spiders— something that was expected this coming Saturday is now out for delivery today. Actually only one thing in the mailbox I guess, because the previously mentioned non-pedal thing is not gonna fit in a mailbox.
