What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Been slowly selling off dad's late 70-80s CB radio setup, so this is more of an outgoing mailbox thing. Buyer wanted to see the state of the valves in this Zetagi BV130 Linear amp, so thought to share this with you guys as well, since, well... You all are a bunch of valve nerds. And because obsolete electronics is much more fun to look at than the miniscule meh of today.

Got a few parts from SBP, mostly stuff that was less expensive than mouser, and some knobs I forgot in my main Tayda order. (top left, minus the wire)

Also got a "grab box" from Small Bear. Had seen a few from 2021, so I figured why not… :| well, I can't say I wasn't warned:
  • 1790(?) enclosure with a lid(!) that needs some gentle dremel'ing to fit properly
  • rando washers, screws, nuts
  • (i'm guessing) former bench-testing wired switches in varying states of disassembly
  • a few 5k , short pin, short split shaft pots, which seem to act more like trimmers
  • really strange pole count rotary switch
  • flexible/rubber coaxial(?) cable (~1.5 ft)
  • QPF microcontroller
  • scant few 1/4W resistors
  • a bunch of very small package SMD caps
  • a load of knobs which are mostly lacking set screws or are splined
But it wasn't a total loss
  • decent few box caps
  • greenie caps
  • some sort of useful TO93 BJTs
  • some actually usable knobs (6x blue; 3x gray; the purple and brush alum ones are good)
  • that skein of wire up in the top left--haven't looked at it in too much detail; very tired
Oh, and my JLC order arrived, too.

That a teaser? Need a photo of whatever you got chugging!

Not into such hobbies myself, but I am a simple man, and love miniature just like everyone else. 😌
Haha. Nah I'm just throwing out terms I've heard. Just another poser :)

I'm really confused why this apparent baggie of clipped component leads or mini spoons or whatever was given its own bag at all

Convenient trash bag? They're not silver or some other valuable metal are they?
