Seen these guys before lol. View attachment 82236

I think ive seen that same brown leaky spot even
Mine were in very good condition and worked with no problems, but it did sound a lot better afterwards. I managed to find and purchase a new faceplate for it, identical to the original on eBay. Fender isn't bothering the guy that's making "replacements for original damaged faceplates". Amazing but true.

Nice, neat and tidy!!!

This is after I used a small sledge and scrap 2x4 to straighten the dent above the middle and bass knobs. If you zoom in you can see the marking pen lines I put on the top to identify the center of the dent, which kept moving as it straightened it. I would use a straightedge on the inside of the lip, and rock from side to side to find the center.

Took 75 MINUTES to get it straight! Had to reposition the 2x4 with each blow. Amazingly, everything still worked afterwards. I will not say that Fenders are made like tanks, because as a munitions/mechanic on another forum pointed out, tanks require constant maintenance. lol. But they are tough.

The tolex just fell off. I barely had to tug

After a good shellacking! Smell GONE. Shellac will prevent bleed-through from knots in the pine. Whether it's on an amp cab, or a patio. When you see that brown bleeding through, just spray some bullseye on it, wait a day, and paint it. It will never come back.

I like that look, i tend to like the beaten to shit tolex look as well though 😂. Ive got s pretty big gouge/chunk missing from the top board in the cab which bugs me, i guess woodfiller and new tolex could be an option, but might lose too much mojo

I have the 3m rubber cement, tolex and a new handle, and new hangers (was missing one, and the other was bent and rusty), and I got some of the turquoise/white/silver grill cloth 'cuz I like that color better than the darker stuff.

I painted the FENDER logo black and then buffed off the paint on the letters with a high speed 1/2hp buffer that I have from my jewelry making days. Came out perfect! Chrome on a dark black background.

So I am going to do a "player's restore". I am not a cork sniffing Fender aficionado.....! Now if it was a 60's Blackface, yeah. But it's a 70's CBS Silverface oddball that doesn't even have a model number. Just Bassman Ten.

But it's all setting in the 'to be done' project room as I decided to build a 5F6-A, when I was mostly done, lol. I like to switch projects around or it feels too much like work.

Speaking of which, time to get off my a$$ and do laundry.....

Nice! What made you choose the compact Space Echo over the larger version? I have been considering the latter for a while because who doesn't need another delay?
Price, pedalboard real estate, power requirements and I don't need a dedicated tap tempo switch...I can always diy one too🤷 I didn't pay anything for these so that was a motivating factor. One pedal or two.

Oh well hell, why didn’t you lead with, you didn’t pay for those. Also, how can we get one for free? 😁
All the stuff I sold this summer when I got those guitars paid for these. I have a guitar center card, and get points that translate to money for in store purchases for every dollar spent. When the bill comes I pay it off with cash so I can get the points and not have a monthly bill. It works out great and I had a good amount of money in gift certificates to spend so I got stuff I couldn't build. The SDE-3 just came out and there aren't a lot out there in the wild yet. I pre-ordered it but they got a limited stock early so it came in today.

I got jealous and ordered one of these little ZIF quick change things for my dca75. Huntington audio was so kind to include this fuzz face kit on such a small order.

I'm not a FF guy but these values give me pause. Any of my fuzz face nerd bros have thoughts on those, are these for a FF variant I'm not familiar with? 20240920_144947.jpg

I think the idea with his FF board is 5to be a test bed/build anything board. Or maybe I'm thinking of a different PCB from him

I got to have it too. Their multimeter breakout looks handy too. Another item in the basket for my American buddy, as the don't do international shipping.

Picked up this Randall RM4.
I can move on from the RM50 combo now.
If you're not familiar, it's a 2RU 4 channel modular tube preamp with a series and parallel effects loop. ;)
Same tech as synergy and the egnator modular stuff(Egnator design) Each preamp sports 2 tubes plus 3 more in the chassis. Pretty cool system.
Shown here loaded with Deluxe, Plexi, Recto(modded) and Ultra(modded) modules.

Ahhh, ok. I did this all summer myself. Very cool.

Oh man, that’s bad ass!!
Now get this. New bowls go for about $200. The bowl that came with mine was ok, but had small dents and looked like it had been sandblasted. I found a bowl on eBay for $120 (including tax and shipping). Got it today.

And and and THERE WERE THREE BOWLS. Whaaaaaa???

I sent a message to the sender and they say "Thanks, we will tell our shipping department, enjoy your free bowls."

OKAY! But, it's a hobby, not a business. Let's see, I could make about 60 one pound loaves of bread without doing the dishes, lmao....
