Whats up with the Danube CLR.

Building a danube and was looking for the 4k7 since using a blue led. And im not finding it…. Check build docs and the clr is r26 and its 18k. Whats up with that, is that because the original had an 18k as the clr?

it would be awesome if the clr was just labeled clr on boards. Love the value vs refdes other than that, but even without a schematic its not hard to follow the trace.

I imagine if the original had an 18k, that's why it's there. Sometimes folks will bump up that value to bring the LED brightness down a bit, or reduce battery drain.

Its just odd, i have never seen another with a value different than the 4k7, im sure its because it was the originals value. But seems odd this one keeps it, ive built quite a few ppcb circuits, cant imagine this is the only one where they used something different.

Really depends on colour and if it's a clear or diffuse LED.

4k7 with clear blue or white LEDs is absolutely blinding (22-33k for those), but it's fine on clear red. Diffuse LEDs I like smaller values between 1k and 2k2.

I totally agree, the whole reason i was trying to find thr clr is because i was planning on using a blue led. This was more just my ocd wondering why this is different
