What's your current headache?

"SANDO"?

I understand that language changes over time, but why must it be purposely dumbed down?

This is clearly the work of the Sand Witch...

F^@# YOU SAND WITCH!

Same feeling when I ready "Brekkie"
Especially when I read the word used without irony on a menu header. Its f'ing baby talk.
Or when I hear a peer use the word.. come on, we are both in our mid '40s....

Not beefing with sandos so much as I am beefing with every sandwich being called a sando in a cringey attempt to appear fashionable.

In Japan, sando makes sense. It’s a linguistic adaptation; shorthand derived from how “sandwich” fits into Japanese phonetics (sandowicchi -> sando). When you order a katsu sando, you are ordering a very specific cultural object.

But go to some Cafe with Edison light bulbs and you're not ordering a turkey club sandwich, you're ordering a turkey club sando. Or a breakfast egg sando on a English muffin. Heaven forbid they call an Italian Sub a sando.
.....and prepare for it to be the most mediocre USD$ 20 plate of your life, with drinks served in mason jars... Though admittedly I have them in my house because they are cheap, and I am a lazy fuck.

So how about crossing a headache off the list?? Captain Bit that had been sitting in limbo for 8 months in my “Why ain’t this shit working?” bin.

Found a solder joint that I flat out missed, and a janky 3pdt stomp. Up and running, completed labels, and shoo-buddy! This thing RIPS!!

How did you think you made a mistake in the first place?

It's been several years since I traced it, the original was long gone and has since become scalper fodder, and it just logically didn't make any sense.

A couple quirky things that made me believe I had made a mistake... Two resistors in series with no connections in between, and another spot with a resistor in series with two in parallel, no external connections between them. Since both could have been replaced with a single equivalent resistor I started to second guess myself, especially the useless "Y" branch.

After tracing the pedal it was originally based on I now see both are the result of carelessly / blindly replacing a potentiometer with a fixed resistor and replacing a toggle switch with a trace, leaving the switched resistors in place. In both cases a single equivalent resistor would have made more sense.

Any time I come across this type of foolishness I doubt myself, not the designer, and that was the mistake this time. :ROFLMAO:

I have an appt for a root canal in two weeks and I cannot wait for this pain to be over. It is an intense, sharp, throbbing pain in the side of my temple that I cannot block out. It starts with a dull pain in my face and then I have to dig into the space between two of my teeth with floss and provoke the intense sharp pain so I can clear the area of food particles, which put pressure between my tooth and gum and cause the dull pain. There is often instant relief when the tiny particle comes out. I try not to take pain meds as I don't want to put anything into my body it doesn't need. I am so ready to be done with this.

#$^&*ING APpull...

So after getting the TeXtEdit problem sorted (much thanks to Falco_Femoralis)...

This past week my Mac's been running out of juice rather quickly — either planned obsolescence is rearing its ugly head, and/or there's some malware clacking away in the background — need to have my computer scanned. However, beyond that the real current headache is:

WHAT's MOST ANNOYING IS SOME RANDOM YOUTUBE CHANNEL PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND WHEN I DON'T HAVE ANY YOUTUBE WINDOWS OPEN. The best I can do is hit F10 (MUTE). I've looked, searched, spelunked, and there is no youtube window open, yet a video or advert starts up of its own accord, randomly, fully hidden from view so I can't stop it. When it's done, I can unmute and watch other vids in windows I've opened, but there's always the possibility of the phantom-vid channel starting up in the middle of whatever I'm watching.
In addition to MUTE, I've been turning off WiFi, but the $%^&* phantom starts right up where it left off when I reconnect to wifi... 🤷‍♂️

Try this first

1- Empty your trash.
2- Next, at the top left of your screen is the Apple Menu. Choose "Develop", then "empty caches".

If that doesn't work, continue to this:

3- Now open "Email" in your tool bar and delete your emails. You can archive important ones to save.
4- While still in Email, double click your email "Trashcan" and then click on "erase deleted items" and "erase junk mail".

If that doesn't work, you probably have a virus and need to erase the disk and reformat it from the recovery screen. Do you have a backup of your files from before all this stuff started happening?
