Hate to push our luck, but smd AND 1.95" max dimensions would be extra cool so they'd also fit in a 1590B.
A few mm narrower and it could have gone in 1590b, just a few mm, or small fraction of an imperial inch if you prefer… just a tiny bit, wafer thin - and it could have fit!I really am sorry, I have failed you....![]()

I could, and last time I almost did, till I decided to have a go myself, used PCB assembly for the SMD parts and shrunk it into a Gorva M45 - which is cool and that but I would have appreciated buying the PPCB pub rather than do that.you could always try doing it yourself (or taking a dremel to the edges)

If the default Pedal PCB pcb size was a few mm narrower it would make little difference to anyone except for the the folk like me wanting to use 1590B not 125B. Not everything in the world will fit - but a SMD TS....theres no reason for it not to
Not to gloat, I’m 36 and my eyesight is alright so long as I have my glasses. My 40+ friends warn me that the readers are coming.
Personally I prefer SMD at this point. I just don’t have to snip leads, make sure components are flush (flipping the board up and down so many times), and components are generally cheaper. I just lay down a puddle of flux and tack components on, spray down with alcohol afterwards, and I’m good to go.
Yes, I’d very much like SMD designs.
Since there's problems for me with through hole components all the time, I might as well take the plunge.I made it to 50 without needing readers. Now at 52, I can't cut my fingernails without them. I can't even look at a circuit board without my headband magnifier. Gettin' old sucks.
