Would this fry my board?

If I had a brain dead moment and wired up my DC jack incorrectly then plugged it in to see if it turns on, could that fry the pedal?

It depends on the pedal and the method of polarity protection. Which PCB?

It should be fine. Most of the projects here (with the exception of the smaller utilities like relay bypass, etc) are protected against reverse polarity with a series diode.

Plugging in the wrong power supply (or wiring it backwards) won't work, but it shouldn't break anything.

I rewired the DC jack and it turns on. Now, just to figure out why it stopped working after I put everything in the enclosure. Must be a short somewhere

Start a troubleshooting thread if so but make sure you have your pot condoms on

It was more me musing out loud than asking for help, but if I can't figure this out, I will definitely be starting a new thread.
