It should be fine. Most of the projects here (with the exception of the smaller utilities like relay bypass, etc) are protected against reverse polarity with a series diode.
Plugging in the wrong power supply (or wiring it backwards) won't work, but it shouldn't break anything.
I rewired the DC jack and it turns on. Now, just to figure out why it stopped working after I put everything in the enclosure. Must be a short somewhere
