XC Phase Depth Control Backwards

Hey Everyone.

Completed an XC Phase and had a couple of issues.

At first, I had no output at all, both bypassed or engaged. Had a fear that there had been an accidental phase issue with the power supply. I removed D100 and replaced it with a jumper. Still no output either way. Replaced the switch and checked the wiring....might have found a bit of excess wire poking out on the solder side of the board from one of the lines going to the switch which could have been grounding out somewhere. Put it back together and now I get signal both bypassed and when the pedal is engaged. Engaged the bias knob has an area where the sound distinctly changes and which gives the most Phase movement. But, it goes from a ton of phase when depth control is set full CCW and none set full CW. I have the proper C500K pot installed. The sound isn't great at this point, it phases for sure, but it seems to be either really fast like a vibe or not much at all. Any ideas?

The XC Phase doesn't have a Depth control, I assume you mean Rate?

It sounds like the pot is installed backwards. Can you post a pic?

So I flipped the Depth control. It, might work a little better. The movement is way fast and kind of all over the place. It starts kinda slow as you turn the depth knob, then it will suddenly get really fast, then slow back down a bit before it gets fully CW. Never really sounds right. Though.

Are you using matched jfets?

They were supposed to be. I bought a set of 2n5952's from pedalpartsandkits.com that were supposed to be matched. They package these in a kit to build the DR Phybes from guitarpcb.com. I didn't test them myself....just took their word for it.
