Cataclysm delay. I've had a crisis of delay of late, bought, built and sold a few. I think I've landed on DL4 MkII as my keeper though. This one is really nice, can really get it to sound nice and dark like the carbon copy with the tone control.

Muffin Factory - Was a fun build! some interesting new things to try with regards to construction.
2x MP35's around 80hfe, 100 leak, 1N192 Germanium diodes from PPCB
Standoffs used from Tayda - A-1306 and A-197
Switches A-5020

swapped position for R2 and R3, rest was stock I believe.

Obviously needs some testing to get right, Im not able to get as much gain out of it as the War Scythe at the moment, but tonally its there.

2 blue pedals in a row? yeh I dont understand me either.
Mach 1 with opa1678 chip - I do have a single opa2134 but I put it in the compressor. who knows why.

Gnat fuzz as Dizzy Elk
GT308V 57hfe 10ua
GT308V 57.1hfe 10ua
GT402E 89hfe 175ua

This was a complete rebuild after I breadboarded it, built it to PCB and it refused to work. It's actually a miracle it currently works considering how much prodding and pulling on all parts I did to it trying to work out what I'd done wrong, because I couldn't tell what I'd done wrong.
Anyway so I pulled the transistors, diode and pots, re-breadboarded it - fantastic, it's working- then rebuilt to a new PCB. In comparing the old board I worked out what it was, I'd flipped R2 and R3, so that would have done it. Classic assumptions while building a simple pedal.

Here's the mod thread

I built mine with PNP because I have way more of them, there's instructions inside for NPN. It's a pretty roaring fuzz, I will have to compare it with my Carbon black and well since they're both MkIII benders.

Cataclysm gone - sold all my delays and just went with DL4 MkII, I hate the form factor but I love having three delay presets I can select at any moment I want. Unlike the El Cap which while sounded nice, the toggle to switch between types then having to change everything to how you like it was mildly infuriating. Almost my exact same experience with the Iridium. Sounds great, but if it can do three different sounds, you should have at least three buttons to be able to select one of each preset. I know Strymon has the external fav switch but lik c'mon.

Mach 1 was a surprise, I thought I had low gain covered between a little green scream machine and the chop shop but damn it is really nice with a little crunch.

Effects Layouts Ache - I need to stop building rats. I just dont agree with them. Trying one last time with a triad distortion in the future but they just don't tickle me like the HM2 or a tone bender does.

Dizzy elk gets a lot of use but I think I'm setting the fuzz faces and the two tone to similar points. May need to do some culling there, but also I've sunk a lot of my good germanium into them too.

Had a play with the Deflector in the dark tonight to ignore the controls, it's got some pretty cool sounds in it, looking forward to using that one more but I think I need to route it after my DL4.

Still have nearly 20 pedals in the queue, it's getting a bit silly and my massive pedalboard feels a bit too much already. I hate having stuff around that I'm not using.
