Joyo JiBin OD

Anyone has a clue on what is this based on? Appears to be tailored to JiBin preferences, but I don't have the skills to even describe the topology, (I'm more of a lego builder to save money type). Love this thing with low output humbuckers.

Tube-Screamer

That board says JF-01, so it's basically a tube screamer topology. You can see some tweaks, like two diodes instead of one for the clipping, and a 75558 chip.

I'm redoing my board with pedal kits, and was thinking I don't really enjoy TS style pedals. Already built a Zendrive, Triangle Muff, Klon, have a Kot, AC and ODR1 on the queue and was thinking that I needed to have this one also.

I don't consider myself a TS fan either (even though it's one of the first circuits I built--seen in my avatar). But recently I built a PedalPCB Contact OD, which like the JiBin is a tweaked TS, and I love it. Just a few component changes can bring it to life.

I think Zendrive is in the TS family too--it's a TS without the buffer transistors, some funky clipping, and a voice control.

Maybe it's because I don't own a Fender amp. Atm using a Laney VH100R

I would have guessed Zendrive as well just going by the enclosure graphics, but JF-01 is the same PCB as the Vintage Overdrive so definitely a modified (or not so modified) Tube Screamer.

Coincidentally, Joyo discontinued this pedal, and then they made another pedal that *was* a ZenDrive clone called the “Tai Chi”.

And for some reason didn’t reuse the already-perfect-for-a-ZenDrive-clone graphic?
