Favorite Non-Commercial Radio Stations

While broadcast radio stations tend to play the same 80 or so songs you've already heard over and over, I know that there are some non-commercial gems out there that break the mold. I have been listening to a lot of WFMU while at work and while working in the garage lately (as well as a couple of other stations) and was thinking this morning about what else is out there that is worth listening to. Since most of these also stream from their websites as well as broadcast, I figured we might want to share so we can see what we've been missing.

WFMU - free form radio from New Jersey. Lots of personality and a good place to hear music you may not otherwise hear. May be the last station of it's kind.

KJZZ - a local (so cal) jazz and blues station.

KCSN - independent local station (so cal). It's generally pretty mellow alternative stuff, deep tracks of popular artists, local artists. It's kind of a "dad" station, but that may be why I like it.

Portland, OR
KMHD jazz
KOPB classical
KBOO community station that varies widely in genre. Jazz, hip hop, folk, electronic, Mexican, depends on time of day.

If my government tried to steal my feces for testing, I'd also use it as thematic material for an album. This is the b side of Expensive Shit.

Edit: I meant to put this into the now listening thread but whatevs...

If only they were still around. Was an amazing station while it lasted.
