CONTEST Guess the Secret Word !

CONTEST
Oh we talking kidney stones ??

I’ve had 4. ER each time to make sure it wasn’t appendicitis because the symptoms are so similar and I’m a hypochondriac. I convinced myself I had Lou Gherigs disease when I was 12 because of 5 minutes on webmd. Wrote a will and everything. Anyway each hurt an indescribable amount higher in the urinary tract.

Early in the pandemic I start feeling similar pain and am just like “ah fuck another one” and thought it made a little sense because of not doing a good job of staying hydrated. Few hours later dragged my ass to the ER thinking they’d kick me out after a quick scan.

Turns out my appendix was ready to burst! Hurt like hell and had surgery but at least I won’t be going to the ER if I get another stone.

Does this get me into the contest?

When I was around nine or ten years old (around 1989-90) I convinced myself I had AIDS because I watched an episode of 21 Jump Street where they had someone who had AIDS. It was one of those TV show PSA kind of things trying to spread the word about AIDS (remember it was the very early 90's!) 🤣 I was terrified for months until we had a health fair at school that checked out our eyes and spines and stuff. They had a video on AIDS that talked about how you could actually catch it and that got me over it 🤣

Speaking of coincidence…..

There is a nanolog device included in this fabulous prize package….I’m so sorry Jeff. 😉
Dammit! Sigh…ok, if you must.

Strangely enough, I got a set of them just before Nanolog went bust. Out of the three, only one of them worked. Nuts, right? Like, gee, I wonder why they eventually failed? 🤔

Wow! As expensive as those are, you'd figure they'd all work. Their caveat is that they CANNOT be tested with a meter of any sort. They MUST be tested in a clipping circuit. And I'd suggest soft-clipping as opposed to hard clipping because they are so ridiculously sensitive. They tend to behave much a LM313H reference diode with regard to testing. The LM313H reference diode is also ridiculously expensive - on the oder of ≥16 zorkmids. But they work very nicely as a single clipping element in the same way the NanoLog devices work. One LM313H clips like a regular two-diode back-to-back clipping configuration.

If you’ll di-rect your attention to the title of this here thread, you’ll notice it’s GREEN and now reads…
