I'm becoming the Fred G Sanford of "vintage" audio fodder. The "G" stands for "groovy" of course.Where the heck do you find this stuff?

My first order of Amplifyfun faceplates arrived today. Very exciting, and the all look stellar, but unfortunately the big one I did for my FV-1 development box is too big… my bad; got the scaling way off. Now I’ll have to save that faceplate for when I can eventually find an enclosure that’s like 5% bigger than an XX and just make a second FV-1 dev box, and just redesign the faceplate design to fit my currently drilled enclosure and order that one soon.
First two builds with some of the Amplifyfun faceplates should be done in December since I have multiple school things to work on for all of November, but I may be able to get one done over thanksgiving break
Might as well put a call out for this— if anyone knows of an enclosure that measures roughly 5x6x2.2” let me know! Nothing in the 1590 or 1550 line that are bigger than the 1590X’s 4.7x5.7x2.2 without being *considerably* larger.
Hmm, looks like that could definitely work if I grind down the ribbed slots and the majority of the length of the middle mounting screw posts. Thanks for the info! I’ve used the BUD stuff before, but only knew about their folded steel enclosures; didn’t know they had cast aluminum stuff too!
Have you tested the Musikding ones?I paid 7.50 Euros each from MusikDing.de plus shipping to the US and I'm pretty sure they were counterfeit as well.
More like "Michael's Folly". What Fig is referring to for context here.....Late but most worthy arrival!

Damn you find the coolest stuffIndeed, thank you Robert!
Today we have another Bell & Howell. This one is in much better shape...two 6v6s, a 12AX7, and a 5yG3T rectum-fire . Not much to do, other than inspect the guts, clean, and replace the power port.I'll try to log all of these on the "Stuff" thread.
