Hey i think we all understand! Im entered in the contest so i cant make a good judge! But i think thats a good idea! What about @temol he created the last contest...I think he would make an awesome judge!I gotta come clean with you guys. Since I posted the OP, I have been so flipping busy with my normal job it's disgusting. I'm actively trying to find a new job amongst all the burnout. I haven't had a chance to breadboard anything or try any of the posted circuits out on my own. That being said, I still want to keep this contest going, although it may take a while for the final results and winners to be announced.
Anyone wanna help me be a judge? lol
If you push the deadline back a bit some of us may yet get it together to join in the fun...just sayin'.I gotta come clean with you guys. Honestly, I started this contest to see what others can do besides populate a prefab circuit board. Not that there's anything wrong with that (I sometimes need that time as a form of therapy TBH). I haven't gotten the level of response to this that I wanted. Oh well - to each his own. If I extend the deadline it may allow others to join in or feed into their procrastination. But I think if someone can't build some kind of prototype they can call your own in a month from now I don't think pushing the deadline out an extra few weeks will make a difference. Like I said earlier, i've been stupid busy with work and only get about 15-20 min a day to just practice scales and stuff just to keep my chops up. If I had the time I would have been more on top of the circuits that have been submitted (some of them are pretty clever just by looking at the schematics). I haven't neglected this at all, but life is just getting in the way and it happens. I mean, for most of us this is just a hobby! If you push the deadline back a bit some of us may yet get it together to join in the fun...just sayin'.![]()
Roger that. I can defintely post something within that time frame in the spirit of what you're asking for, as nearly everything I do is based on my own designs and especially PCB layouts. At worst I could illustrate how I've been adapting one of my older preamp pedal formats to upright bass and acoustic guitar. My other current diversions all use obsolete/unobtainium parts, so no go there!Honestly, I started this contest to see what others can do besides populate a prefab circuit board. We need our cheerleader and major sponsor @fig to put some life back into this contest!
Awesome. My boards are due to show up any day.Ok final revision,
Meet the fuzz face with attitude
A fuzz face with High and LO pass filters. GATE to add some hair to your chest. The TONE is tied to the HIGH and LO pass filters making the TONE very active. The Switch gives you the option to switch between SI/MOSFET/GE.
Man its fun! Very satisfied as is going to start the board design very soon!

Im going to take your advice of moving the MBP libraries over to KiCAD. That'll save me a huge headache.Awesome. My boards are due to show up any day.
Im having trouble coming up for a name for this Frankenstein of a fuzz.Ok final revision,
