I prefer DigiKey to mouser. They don't hide the cheapest shipping option from you like mouser does

I have always found Mouser to be super quick. Normally arrivng two days after ordering.

I managed to score a bargainous torpedo captor on ebay this morning. It should be here by Monday but wont be able to use it for another week or two because I left my Marshall in with an amp tech to get the OD channel modded.
I'm looking forward to getting it back so I can try using it for recordings alongside my Helix.

New Pickup Day Woohoo!
These just came in the mail from Durbano Magnetics from Australia from his Christmas sale.
A pair of his '59 PAFs, these are going into my Tokai Gold Top. Raw nickel, unpotted.
And his "Big Bird" HB size Firebird pickup that will be going into my "VelaBird" that's got one of his Firebird neck pickups.
The other one is called his "Tuxedo". It's a mini-hum sized P90. Not sure which guitar this is going in quite yet but most likely my Warmoth Strat neck position.

Which magnets are in the pafs @MichaelW?
I'm loving the Tuxedo too, I really like that look with the open top nickel covers. Marc at Mojo pickups does a tele neck pickup with a cover like that. It's wound with 42 gauge instead of 43 and is apparently a lot stratier than a standard tele neck pickup.

Have you got another guitar for the MK2s from the Tokai to go into? It's a fun experiment to change the magnets in them to see how the sound changes. It's also really easy to do.

Wow they must be wound with 44 gauge wire to get that kind of resistance. That'll also probably knock off a load of highend and really push the mids

There's not a lot of info on the Tokai MK2S and there seems to have been a lot of variants over the years. I guess right now they're going for a more modern sound, which is exactly the opposite of what I generally like heh. The Porters I have in there are overwound PAF's, as I recall the bridge on that one is ~9.4k. Great sounding pickups but I'm always chasing those old lower wind PAF sounds in a Les Paul. Really looking forward to how the Fabian's sound!

Yeah I'm surprised the bridge pup is wound like that. You'd think they'd go for a generic paf-a-like for those as that's what most buyers are going to want in them anyway.

I just Scored a captor X from market place. Hopefuly will arrive soon so I can get to finally crank my Trinity Amp up. Wow that thing is loud!! Be nice to finalkly be able to push those tubes.
