No more 99 cent shipping from Tayda!?!

I think someone mentioned it another thread a bit ago. Seems like the option disappears every so often, but typically comes back. Maybe they got a new house in CO and need time to move.

I'm going to save the cart and come back to it later. I can't see paying that much for shipping. Even though I know many of our non-american members pay MUCH more in shipping, duties, and taxes.

Same here. And DHL would be my absolute last choice for shipping anything to me. Tayda insists that they can't ship to my PO box, but DHL won't have it any other way. They just don't want to drive to my "semi-rural" area, a whopping one hour out of Portland. So it takes just as long as snail mail, for 2-3 times the cost...no thanks!

I'm also in a semi-rural area, but only about 30 minutes out of Porland... *lol*

DHL gets handed off to my local post office...

It was by weight. I believe the cutoff was .25 kilograms for the 99 cent usps shipping. I think the most I've ever paid is $5 for Tayda shipping. I'm in rural Minnesota. DHL has no infrastructure here and would be my very last choice for a carrier.
 
In January I had a cart with $.99 shipping, and left it for a couple of weeks in case I needed some more stuff. Once I actually got around to placing the order, the price went up $2.25 (no additions to cart). But it was still the USPS option. That was a few weeks ago.

It took me forever to start using Tayda (considered them too cheap to be real) and I typically pay less than $5 for their "two to three week" option because I usually order $20 or less at a time. A month ago I splurged for $10-$11 UPS shipping ... while I appreciate getting things before I've forgotten them, it wrecks the notion that I'm going there to drastically save money.

I had the option as of my last order on Monday. I loved it because I could grab everything I needed to build a pedal for under $10 shipped. I order 2-3 times a week. I never had to compile orders and there was always something in the mailbox.

Your "always something in the mailbox" statement makes me feel like we're missing out on yet another marketing idea, subscription box DIY pedal kits.
