Me? Probably 3-5 at a time. Sometimes there's a deal on Amazon where I can get them a few cents cheaper.Don't tell me you buy them one and two at a time
why would anyone go cheap on the single most used part of a buildMe? Probably 3-5 at a time. Sometimes there's a deal on Amazon where I can get them a few cents cheaper.
I usually do 10 stomps and 20 jacks at a time.
$3.04 each after accounting for shipping@Harry Klippton the cheap ass in me just fainted. That's $50 in switches alone from Tayda! That being said I've never had a $100+ order yet.
I don't recall ever seeing a build report of yours with a relay footswitchwhy would anyone go cheap on the single most used part of a build![]()
€1.80 each including shipping and customs to Germany. I don't know what it is to the New World, but I would guess around the same. It's also a softer switch than the standard ones I've been used to:$3.04 each after accounting for shipping
Looks like that comes out to about $1.99 but that link doesn't work for me. I've also never shopped on ali Express and don't know anything about it€1.80 each including shipping and customs to Germany. AliExpress is the chinese equivalent of ebay/amazon. A lot of the products on ebay/amazon are the same with a markup. I've been buying from AliExpress for years, you have to be wary, the same as ebay, but there are reputable shops there. The one I linked is from the Daier one: https://daier.aliexpress.com/store/406327Looks like that comes out to about $1.99 but that link doesn't work for me. No need to buy in bulk if it doesn’t suit your needs, but replacing stomp switches is kind of a bummer. Last year I built 5 pedals with switches I bought off Amazon and have had to replace 3 switches so far. YMMV.@Harry Klippton the cheap ass in me just fainted. That's $50 in switches alone from Tayda! I don't like relay bypass unless it's something integral to the function of the circuit like the VIIB. I've accidentally touched relay bypass pedals and and turned them on/off when I was depressing another pedal. I like a physical click, size 12 4E clumsy feet and all that.I don't recall ever seeing a build report of yours with a relay footswitch
The wiring wouldn't look as good though..

At this point my average order is between 100-125 from tayda. I buy for 5-10 builds at a time. But every now and then it's time to stock up and essentials like jacks and switches. SBP is my favorite for these items and 10-20 foot switches is on par for me as well. What happens if you wanna build something small? You don't wanna have to place an order for a one knobber.@Harry Klippton the cheap ass in me just fainted. That's $50 in switches alone from Tayda! That being said I've never had a $100+ order yet.
This. I hate cheap quality. The few cents saved up front is always lost ten fold in frustration and the inevitable replacement by a quality part.No need to buy in bulk if it doesn’t suit your needs, but replacing stomp switches is kind of a bummer.
