This has to be the most unique eBay experience I've had.

Ordered a pedal from Japan, when the box arrived I knew the weight seemed a bit off. Opened it up to find some Japanese fans, tissues, and this note. My initial thought was "Well I'll be damned, scammed", but the seller did indeed issue a full refund.

This little care package was shipped via FedEx Air, it could not have been cheap.

Honestly, I would have accepted a refund without the package.

It was a Noel Etude.... and that's the slightly irritating part...

By the time the gift arrived the only other listing for that pedal had already sold.

I'd have a pink bag therapy post but DHL swears my address doesn't exist ... which is strange because everyone else seems to be able to deliver to me. Serves me right for trying to save a buck on shipping.

My first bit of gear acquired as a result of the NAMM show, a couple microphones from Aston Mics in the U.K. I had never heard of them previously, but they impressed me. Great quality stuff at very reasonable prices.

Got a prototype in the mail. A prototype board! Using Chuck’s relay design and a tact switch, it will take four pots and a mini breadboard.

Gave up and ordered an Engineer solder sucker after reading the "removing pots" thread
Also bought a new soldering station, now I can't wait to receive my first 3 PPCB boards (chop shop, carcass, sea horse)

Not really in the mailbox but i just picked this up from Harbor Freight. If you have a Membership with them its currently going for $170 you really cant beat it!

I just ordered the same one! Should be here in a few days. When I first looked (after that same desoldering thread) Amazon had discounted it just under the $25 free shipping threshold, and they wanted like $7 to ship it. The price went back to 25, so I jumped on it. Can't wait to screw something up now!

(There's also a "Roboto" board in the package. Domo Arigato....



Then my Tele/SG/Outboard Gear enabler...... @Guardians of the analog the influencer.....
My new amp "should" be arriving tomorrow, woohooo!


Finally from Wolfe Macleod, I mentioned that the Dr. Vintage humbucker sounded a little muddy to me in the neck pos of my Warmoth Strat, he sent me an A5 magnet to swap out the stock A2. Pickup surgery is not something I've done much of.....so more....
