It makes sense. It is a reasonable take.

The brand unofficially associates with a certain artist to standout more, most likely out of love for that artist. But it boxes them in after a while and it would be hard to rebrand or keep the pace once the fan base has been exhausted.

I have heard nothing but good things from Nordvang, but I always thought they were too explicit naming their products after Mayer deep cuts.

I hope they can weather this downturn of sales.

He needs to stop milking his products based on a Artist & produce pedals based on his skill set.
It was Great while it lasted!
They are way overpriced.
Rockett is clever enough to just keep releasing/ milking the same product with a component missing here & there & a few less knobs & just call it something different & sells a ton of them!

Yeah I agree.
From the board breakdown videos I have seen they are pretty good pedals.
I think the Gravity you can change the order you stack them with a switch, and the layouts seem nice.

Never heard of them.
All 1590BB size or larger.
Price.
They're offering clones of circuits you can find everywhere.

The Mayer effect works both ways. Some of us will go out of their way to not use something associated with Mayer, even if it does sound good.

That IS the Mayer effect, at least how I interpreted it as the video stated.
