He’s had some spectacularly douchey songs and a couple of cringey ones. My main problem with him is he’s tall, talented, rich and handsome. Like pick 2, bro.

Nothing really. It's just a personal taste thing.
But like PRS, he elicits a strong "love him or hate him" factor.

By all accounts, PRS are awesome guitars so I may be missing out on something great due to closed-mindedness.

PRS seems to have succeeded in watering down every classic guitar into a tame clone. They're the Switzerland of guitars: safe, clean, expensive and fishy as hell despite being landlocked.

I reacted similarly to The Parker Fly guitar that came out in the 90s.
Supposed to be excellent with its carbon-fiber fretboard, piezo pickups, and all that.
I'm sure it's amazing. But I don't wanna be caught playing one.

I owned the original model in 2003, before I'd ever heard of John Mayer.

And I sold it before I heard of John Mayer so it's not his fault. Too fiddley for me.
