What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

My DIY rack mount bass amp is back on the bench:

Cleaning up some glitches in my fairly recent preamp board upgrades. Killed the noise floor issue, on to evaluating the actual mods now. It's more of an all around voicing now rather than the slightly more bass centric original design.

@Fizz I had always been hesitant to try these because I have spools of 4 connector ribbon wire that I usually use for the bottom 4 pads but man its so much easier to use its insane
Are they easier because they are precut? Are these spaced correctly? This looks like it would make my job much easier.

I tried the generic thinlines and highly recommend sticking with Lumbergs. The generics start out really really tight but then get really really weirdly inconsistent at making solid contact on the barrel. I’m now going through and replacing jacks as they fitz out on me and it’s a righteous pain.

Answer to a question nobody asked, but had to share.

Replaced the battery box on a Pignose, tested it and it kept cutting out then would come back around. Looks like I’ll be changing out some electrolytics, I smelled the smell, but was not a witness to the magic tone smoke leaving it’s body. In other news, been at my place in Indiana for the last month and was able to get setup to powder coat in my garage. Finally got to test out that Gojira form Prismatic. It’s definitely sparkly and really hard to get a good pic. Got a few more colors to try out, can’t wait to see how they look!View attachment 59446View attachment 59448View attachment 59449
I have a CHinese Pignose, still sounds great but yours is US made judging by the sticker. Do you know how to ground it? Mine has an adapter but it's not grounded and it hums. Using batteries is a PITA
