What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Another really big mail day......

First up, the Lollar Regal WRHB's I ordered for my Tele Deluxe project arrived.

Then my Cavalier Pickups for my Tele Pinecasteer Esquire project arrived as well! I also decided to try a set of his 51/52 Bridge and Lion King neck for my 50's Blackguard project. Woohoo!

Then, MORE Lollars, my "Fat Strat" project is about to get Fatter.......

And finally, and "as of yet unnanounced "Telescapade" project. It was really an idea I've had kicking around in my brain for a few months.

Then browsing Ebay I found this guy, Rosser Guitars. Who makes, nitro finished relic'd bodies. I'd say it falls somewhere between an MJT and a NoMoonLaser in terms of finish. But for $145 I thought it was a great value. This body is just the base for some major modifications and routing.
Stay tuned for a dedicated thread.

I think I'm gonna be busy for a bit......:)
LOVE "TELESCAPADE"

Got another Pignose in the mail today. Well, actually just the carcass. I have some green vinyl I’m thinking of wrapping it in, maybe powder coat the metal parts and make up a mold and cast a replacement knob.

Oh! Anyone have any good suggestions for some kind of small circuit to put in this?

Bluetooth receiver, power amp and USB rechargeable pack. Don't forget the 1/4 input for camping and busking.

The obvious answer would be to build a V1 pignose circuit to put in it 😉
Well, I have 5 red label already! I'm a hoarder, or pig farmer 🐽🐷🐖, haven't really decided yet.

Half tempted to build a small single ended tube amp, like a firefly or something similar, guess I could kiss the batteries goodbye. I could even squeeze a 5f1 or a silverface champ, maybe vibro champ into that case. I'd like to keep it portable, though, so probably better off solid state.

Maybe I should rebuild the power amp section and just choose some "preamp" emulator pedal circuit to go in front. Might have to add a knob or two???

Ah nice! I have just a single red label pignose, as well as one of the piggy in a box pedals.
In that case, I think it would be fun to build a dual 386-based amp— think Acapulco, but with a dual gang 1k pot simultaneously controlling the gain of the first and second 386 via pins 1+8. Just replace everything that follows pin 5 of ic2 with what connects to pin 5 of the 386 in a Ruby/noisy cricket amp.

I'm sure there's a few other piglets wriggling about that I've missed including in the pen above, but that's about as good a start as a pig-in-a-poke.

Instead of replicating a Pig-Nose knob, why not 3D-Print a Sow's Ear, and turn a Silktone (Micronaut) purse into a Sow's Ear:

Do you need to cutlet through a mix? Do you want to be hamstrung by a bacon'd in tone? A clean-as-a-pig's whistle pedal-platform amp?
If you loin towards making a micro-ish Tube amp, just be careful when you're porkin' 'round inside it, lest you make yourself, and not the amp, squeel.

Sow what do you want? It's really a boart you.
